“I will not fear, God, you are with me. I know you’re near, you’ll never leave me. I will trust in you alone.” You Alone/Seth Condrey/North Point Music
Where’s that crystal ball when you need it?
Three years ago on New Year’s Day, I wrote a blog post called “New Year, Same Worry”. www.tinasavantgibson.com/new-year-same-worry
At that time, I had no idea what 2015 was going to bring, but I was certain of one thing.
Worry was going to be involved.
Worry doesn’t change our circumstances. It changes us.
Worry took my trust and twisted it into fear.
“And when the world around me crumbles and it’s hard to understand. I will run to you, my shelter, I am safe within your hands.”
Looking back, I realize that I was never alone in the journey. My Heavenly Father carried me with His love.
He will carry you too, friend.
When I revisited that post today, I didn’t feel “New Year, Same Worry”. I felt peace.
The kind that is greater than our understanding.
“And, when I’m broken in the silence, I can hear you whispering: you’re not alone here in these trials, I will hold you faithfully.”
I wish I could tell you that worry has disappeared from my life.
Instead, I’m a work in progress.
So, I’m asking God to replace my fears with bigger faith.
Will you join me?
When worry wrecks my peace, Jesus pieces together my wreck with His perfect love.
“You are a fortress for the weak, the strength that carries me, when I am on my knees. The cross reminds my heart to trust, your faithfulness and love will always be enough.”
Heavenly Father, as we step into another year, help us to let go of our worries and trust you more. We want to live free in you, God. Remind us that your faithfulness and love is indeed always enough. Thank you, Father. We love you. Amen.

Happy New Year, dear one. XO
