“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone.” Isaiah 9:2 (ESV)
Have you ever walked through a period of darkness?
Or, perhaps you are there right now?
I so understand.
Recently, I was blessed to be part of a 31 day devotional along with a group of amazing Jesus Girls. The devotional, “Let Your Light Shine”, was created by Sweet To The Soul Ministries.
As I prayed and pondered about what to write, one story kept circling round and round in my heart.
The one that I had never shared outloud before.
The one that you can find here for October 30th:
If there’s one takeaway I’d like for you to remember from my story, it’s this:
Whatever WHATEVER you fear today, God is bigger. He made you one of a kind and loves you just the way you are. Let His perfect Love pour over you and heal your broken heart, wipe away your insecurities, and free you from darkness.
He can, dear one. He really can.
This is the prayer I wrote for the devotional. I’d like to pray it with you today…
“Father God, Thanks for loving us, not because we are perfect, but because You are perfect. Hold us close and fill us with your peace and hope today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
